HORRIBLE SERVICE AND HORRIBLE RATES!!!! NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. They basically charged me $250 for not fixing my car. The battery was running dead, but they charged me for diagnosing, and then for figuring out how to connect to battery, that is ridiculous !!!. I found out my old battery had a warranty, so I took it somewhere else. Lessson Learned: Never take your car to this place, where they were not even able to figure out how to connect the battery, and I lost $250. Plus they took 2 days to return my car...

Just checking Maria Luna lives in Vancouver and hasn't been in since January 2009. With that said, I think she is talking about another customer that was just in. When making arrangements with Sean to bring your car in and have it evaluated, the agreed upon amount was $37.99 plus $30 to clean corrosion if needed. Our Master Tech attempted to start the car and the battery was dead. He then connected a supplemental battery for testing other components (which tested good). Since a battery can't be tested when not charged, we charged then tested it (to this point charges were $35.99 and $12.00=$47.99). After sufficiently charging your battery, it failed the capacity part of the test (see test results provided to you). At that point, Sean authorized battery replacement (bringing total to $239.80). After replacing the battery the car did not respond. We checked and there was no power to the starter with a new battery. We stopped and called Sean to query if there was any type of a security system on the vehicle (all we had been provided was a lone key, no remote). He told us that it had a factory security system and could bring us the remote right away. Sean arrived a few minutes later with a Viper (not factory installed) alarm fob. With this our tech attempted the reset procedure found online however it did not work. Sean agreed to leave the car over night since it was closing time so that we could further diagnose the problem the next day. After removal of the system's control module for identifying model/serial number, our tech found the initial start up procedures for this particular model. He then reinstalled the module, performed the start up procedure, and vehicle was restored to normal functionality. The charge for the additional time spend on the problem $110, bringing the total to approx. $359 including shop supplies. We were then notified by Sean that he had a warranty on the old battery, making us wonder why it hadn't been returned to that shop in the first place, but who are we to turn down legitimate business? We then removed the new battery, reinstalling the old battery, deducted the part price ($148)added in battery replacement labor of ($33), making for a net bill of $231.48 labor, $13.89 shop supplies, total $245.37. Our master tech spent a few hours with your car, charging, testing, replacing the battery, cleaning the corrosion on the cables as best as possible, running down a problem caused by an unknown anti theft device, correcting said problem, and then replacing the new battery with the old one. We did not fix your car's problem. However had we been given the remote initially, tested and replaced battery, your cost would have been under the amount you spent not getting it fixed. Added to that, it would have saved several people a great deal of time and frustration. Lesson learned: communication, or lack thereof is the cause of most problems in our world today.

Very bad service here. My car didn't need a new battery and they wanted to replace it. Also they charged me $110 for figuring out my Security System, never seen this before. Total, I had to pay $250 for practically a battery change, without the actual battery because that was additional $109. Rip off. I will never ever take my care here again.

I had a really bad experience buying a truck that gave out on me after 11 miles. I took it to DuFresne's and they did a diagnosis same day, replaced my battery relay and also did a quick diagnostic check to find out other things I needed to get done. After comparing their price to others in the market, I found their pricing and diagnostics reasonable and accurate. I had great service from them and they were definitely honest and understanding of my difficult situation--they even rushed to be able to help me so I could go home same day. Would recommend!
