11 Years ago DuFresne's Auto Service started collecting non-perishable food for the Oregon Food Bank. If you brought in 3 cans of food you would receive a FREE BRAKES INSPECTION and if you needed brakes the PADS AND OR SHOES would be FREE. We had one barrel that the OFB had provided. The first year we had a hard time filling the barrel. Nancy ran to Costco at the end of the promotion and bought food to fill the barrel. Our FREE BRAKES has grown steadily over the course of 11 years. We now have a POD to hold the food during the month. We have customers who store food all year and drop off at our POD. We even have customers that drop food before the month starts. Over the course of the years we have given away over 1000 FREE BRAKES to customers and have made the OFB TOP 10 list of donations 2 years in a row.
