PORTLAND AUTO REPAIR

We took two cars in this month to get the benefit of a free brake inspection in exchange for a donation of food for the Oregon Food Bank. One needed two brakes replaced plus some additional work, the other didn't. In both cases, we were confident that we could trust DuFresne's to accurately identify problems if they existed and do the work needed. The bonus? Everyone at the company is friendly!

My favorite little neighborhood auto shop. They do good work and seem like honest people. Best of all, they are always so friendly and accommodating—they earned my business forever the day both my headlights burned out, and they squeezed me in same-day despite being fully booked. (This was after being told by the local dealership that they soonest they could get me in would be next week. I can’t drive with no headlights for four days!) Plus... espresso machine. Beats the heck out of stale waiting-room Folgers found elsewhere!

The diagnosis was what I expected, you stayed within the estimated cost, and there were no surprises when I drove the car. To me, that is all a customer can ask for. Also, I appreciate you NOT doing a 1000 point inspection to tell me about all the things I didn't ask you to fix. (I already know about the power steering leak).

Very friendly and professional service

Had a belt that broke and caused a combination of problems. Everyone at Du Fresne’s was a pleasure to work with and they were able to get my Volvo XC90 fixed quickly and professionally (including getting a hard to find part overnight shipped to Oregon). Cost was below what I expected and service was much higher than I expected.

As always a thorough inspection & the problems in our new, used car were explained to us & what was needed next. We will be back as soon as Santa brings my new cash machine. Happy Holidays!

I have front and rear brakes replaced. We decided to flush brake fluid and ran into some issues. They stuck with it until it was resolved. Good service.
