Was a rip off, bad customer service, will charge a ton for nothing to be fixed
On a late Friday night, Ashley was stranded beside the road. Just before closing we gave her a no charge loaner and as a AAA customer got a $50.00 discount after repairs were done. . We diagnosed her check engine light and replaced her exhaust manifold/catalytic converter. We only use dealer catalytic converters if at all possible. Updated the engine control module software, cleared fault codes and completed a drive cycle. All monitors ran to completion, except the oxygen sensor heater monitor and no pending fault codes were stored. Technician test drove it 15 miles. When she picked it up, the check engine light came on. At checking, at no charge to customer. The technician found P1326 Knock Signal Range/Performance. He Cut open the engine oil filter and inspect. No metal content found. Technical service bulletin 24-EM-002H specifies that, if after the ECM update has been performed P1326 returns, there is a procedure to update the ECM manually using the factory scan tool. Refer the customer to a dealer for TSB 24-EM-002H. This can only be done by the dealer. This is why independent dealers have been fighting to get the same information that the dealer has. It is called Right to Repair
