Excellent service. Marco is wonderful to work with

Very easy to work with. Work done as promised and car returned on time. Parking is a little tight since they are popular.

They worked hard to find the root cause of a very pesky problem and accomplished the repair.

My very old but highly reliable Toyota 4Runner had a microscopic radiator fluid leak around the cap, which was not surprising considering that it was the original radiator that came with the car many years back. Taking advantage of this opportunity, in addition to replacing the radiator system, I asked Marco, the mechanic, to replace all belts and hoses and recommend any replacements/fixes/adjustments that he thinks should be done this time to ensure continued reliability/performance of my car in the future. It cost some money for sure but was totally worth it. Now the ride is much smoother, quieter and much more responsive to acceleration and braking. Marco kept me updated with the progress of the repair including the availability of some parts that had to be ordered. I did not look at any other repair shops for this fairly extensive work because DuFresne’s has great reputation in our community, not to mention it is an AAA approved auto repair shop.

Thank you for your stellar 5 star review. Without people like you, I would not be in business for 55 years. It always makes us feel good when a customer tells us he can feel the difference. Not all repairs can do this, but this time it did. Thanks once more.

Was a rip off, bad customer service, will charge a ton for nothing to be fixed

On a late Friday night, Ashley was stranded beside the road. Just before closing we gave her a no charge loaner and as a AAA customer got a $50.00 discount after repairs were done. . We diagnosed her check engine light and replaced her exhaust manifold/catalytic converter. We only use dealer catalytic converters if at all possible. Updated the engine control module software, cleared fault codes and completed a drive cycle. All monitors ran to completion, except the oxygen sensor heater monitor and no pending fault codes were stored. Technician test drove it 15 miles. When she picked it up, the check engine light came on. At checking, at no charge to customer. The technician found P1326 Knock Signal Range/Performance. He Cut open the engine oil filter and inspect. No metal content found. Technical service bulletin 24-EM-002H specifies that, if after the ECM update has been performed P1326 returns, there is a procedure to update the ECM manually using the factory scan tool. Refer the customer to a dealer for TSB 24-EM-002H. This can only be done by the dealer. This is why independent dealers have been fighting to get the same information that the dealer has. It is called Right to Repair

Stopped by here for a propane refill (2 tanks). Staff is very friendly and I was in and out in 10 minutes.

Thanks Mark.. We don't ever get reviews for propane. We get lots of reviews for auto repair, but I think you are the 1st for Propane.

I needed an AC recharge on my 6 yr old Honda. It had never been done. Got right in next day with online appointment. Dropped off at 9:00 a.m. Done by 1:00 pm. Excellent service at a fair price. Outstanding auto mechanic shop, very friendly staff. My “go to” shop for all my auto maintenance and repair!

Thank you for your kind words. You have been lucky with your Honda that this is the 1st time you needed A/C work. It should be like that, but isn't always. The A/C system is a closed system and it should last, but doesn't always. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how the repairs were done
